Recap: So nice to have slept in a proper room with decent
bed and hot shower. I am feeling revived 😊
Last night, I tried to recapture memories of my last stay
here, restaurants, bars etc. but alas the town has moved on as everything does.
So instead we settled for a curry, which was wonderful. Albeit very hot
especially for me.
The plan for the day was to sort out Lion walking and
Livingston Island trips, to plan the Vic fall walk to carry out general car
maintenance etc.

To sort out Livingston Island lunch /afternoon Tea one goes
to the Royal Livingston Hotel, naturally. Job done Martin’s G&T consumed we
went on to sort the Lion Walk.
Unfortunately, my Lion Walking with Lion Encounter has
ceased here, but the mantle has been taken up by Mukuni. We managed to get Martin
booked in for the afternoon walk and I am pleased to say it did not disappoint.
I decided not to do it as have done these numerous times and it would have been
weird to have been a punter so to speak rather than being one of the guides. I
was delighted to meet some of my old muckers from Lion Encounter, who I am
pleased to say remembered me. Good time.
Betsy has been looking a bit unloved and African weary so we
gave her a good clean in and out and all felt much better.
Back at the hotel we watched a truly woeful Chelsea display,
deservedly beaten by Man City, and had an early night.
Tomorrow is another day and football is a game of two halves
