Backpacker lodges are for young people. Period.

After a night of pool, curry and rap we had a relatively early night, or so we thought. My room was next to a common area that seem to be where travellers gathered to exchange stories. All fine unless it goes on till 5.30 in the morning. Martin on the other hand had is dormitory to himself but had the pleasure of a marathon love making session form the adjoining room. Quite impressive apparently.

On the road at 8 and heading out of Lusaka. It had a more of a South African feel to it than any other place we have been thus far. An impressive city. However as always it doesn’t take long for the rural simplicity to kick in.

The road was dreadful for about 50 miles and then hey ho one of the best stretches since we arrived in Africa. Then about 80 mph for 210 miles to Livingston. Sweet.

The hotel we have booked into, the Ngolide Lodge, is lovely and just right for another pit stop.

It was great to be back in Livingston, home to so many memories. Tomorrow will be cool to do what Livingston is famous for.

PS No pictures for today Sorry.
