15/02/18

So, we are still in Mombasa, still waiting for the truck but are hoping for news today. Hahahahahah.

Martin was full of confidence that the district Commissionaire would have this all sorted today. Well let’s wait and see. We have a 10-shilling bet on it. In any event we will be going to the agents offices with our trusty companion Dennis, who keeps reassuring us that all will be resolved today.
For War of the Worlds fans you may chuckle when I say , only the best now I'm in charge.

UNBELIEVABLE
On the ferry, Martin with his exceptionally keen eyes spotted our vessel leaving Mombasa sitting very high in the water which we believe is a good sign. May be the District Commissionaire has come good after all.

The shipping agents office was as to be expected as was the spiel about the boat not having unloaded yet. However on proof that the vessel was leaving Mombasa he said he will do all he can to get the truck to us. With Great Expediency rest assured. In Gods hands we trust.

The afternoon was spent exploring the good side of Mombasa, specifically Nyali beach. Yup so much nicer but not the authentic African experience that Martin and I are having and looking forward to.

Tonight is dinner with our ever constant chum, Dennis who is preparing a Chicken Curry.

Please please please let the truck arrive and for the sake of nothing else we can meet some other people.
